Rajasthan International Folk Festival 2018 (RIFF Jodhpur)

Rajasthan is the destination of natural beauty, exotic culture, unique cuisine, markets, camels, hospitality and others. It is also famous for many interesting festivals and events. One of among them is the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF). This festival attracts many music lovers including the royal heirs of the state.

When to Celebrate?

This festival is going to celebrate from 24th October to 28th October 2018.

The dates of the festival changes from year to year.

24th October – 9 am to 2 pm and, 8:30 pm to 10 pm.

25th October – 5:30 am to 7:30 am and 10 am to 5 pm and, 8:30 pm to midnight.

26th October – 5:30 am to 7:30 am and 10 am to 5 pm and, 8:30 pm to midnight.

27th October – 5:30 am to 7:30 am. Timing for 28th October is subjected to change.

 

About the RIFF?

This is an event where many international artists come together and present many music shows, new collaborations and much more. More than hundreds of artists create interesting stage performances, which highlight the music heritage of the state. The festival opens with a welcome dance and is followed by many other performances. Every day, you can find separate performances by famous artists who are also available for fans to talk and autograph.

There are two types of passes; day pass and full festival pass. All day passes and full festival passes are non-refundable. The full festival pass includes entry to museum, festivals and performances for all five days. The day passes include entry to museum and festivals on the day for which the pass is purchased.

The pass does not include food, drinks, souvenirs and others. Children below the age of 12 does not need a pass but proof for the age should be presented.

Also, there is an early bird discount of 15% is available till 21st September 2018.

How to Reach?

The festival takes place near and in Mehrangarh Fort. The fort is located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Jodhpur has an airport, which is just 5 km away from the city center. The nearest international airport is located in Jaipur. The most commonly used international airport near Jodhpur is in New Delhi. You can find connecting flights from Delhi to Jodhpur in daily basis. Jodhpur is well connected with buses, cabs and trains from all important cities around the country.
