Scoot has started flying to Jaipur, the Indian Pink City
The next step for Scoot in its strategy to expand to other Indian cities now includes Jaipur in the list, with the launch of its inaugural flight. Scoot is a low cost airlines company which for the first time flew to Jaipur directly from Singapore on the 2nd of October, 2016.
As per the reports this Scoot flight will operate three times in a week and thereafter expand their flight schedule to 4 weekly trips from the 30th of October, 2016. Maintaining similarity to all other standard Scoot flights the trips to Jaipur will also be taken up, by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft as is the case for all of its flights.
Before Jaipur, Scoot had begun direct flights to India this year with the destinations being Chennai and Amritsar, so the Indian Pink City is the third destination on this list.
Speaking about their expansion plans and the flight trips to Jaipur, the country head for Scoot Mr. Bharath Mahadevan said – “We have received a phenomenal response from Chennai and Amritsar so far, so with the Jaipur launch our spirits are soaring higher”. He further added by saying, “We perceive India as a young market and promising market, especially because of its energetic youthful population who love to travel and explore new destinations. We hope to establish a strong foothold within the airlines industry of the country, with unique facilities like in-flight connectivity and in-seat power points”.
Also expressing his viewpoints about this latest development, the regional director of the Singapore Tourism Board for Middle East, South Asia, and Africa said – “India is a great potential market for Singapore and offers strong potentialities for growth in Tier 2 cities. As for the first half of the year 2016, the arrivals of visitors from the Tier 2 cities of the country registered a growth rate of 10 percent, when compared to same time span for the previous year of 2015. We are confident that after the launch of Scoot’s direct flights to Jaipur from Singapore and the tactical efforts of STBwhich include joint marketing partnership with Scoot will further promote increased travel to Singapore from the Indian cities”.
Sources revealed that presently Scoot’s flights will depart from Singapore every Mondays, Fridays and Sundays at 2130 and will land on the majestic grounds of India’s Pink City on 0035 the next day. And the return flight will also leave Rajasthan on the days of Monday, Tuesday and Saturday taking off at 0135 and arriving back in Singapore at 0940.
